"Azar, Kori no need to pull my arm off." Sure, she had let the extraplanar god's name slip her cover but she was sure she would be able to write something like that off as her being obscurely pagan or something. Her mother had joined a cult that worshipped Trigon, and he definitely wasn't one of this dimension's demons. As far as she knew everyone in the cult had been from earth so it wasn't too much of a stretch. She wasn't about to change her god-base completely just to fit in with a bunch of teenagers. That was where she drew the line.
"Horror? Starfire has been talking about me then?" She asked curiously. She had to bite back a laugh. Starfire obviously did not remember the hell that was the last time she watched a horror movie. She was not going to have a repeat experience. Sure, it mostly had to do with the complete denial of her feelings. It was the unique cross between acceptence and the supressing of her emotions that allowed her to function like a semi-normal being on this planet.
Sure, some horror was ok, but she didn't want to chance a full on 'classic' horror movie, and she definitely wasn't into slasher films or torture films like Saw or anything like that. She was the daughter of Trigon. She didn't need to fill her own head with ideas in case something were to happen and she were to go Darkside. It terrified her to even think about but she accepted it as a possibility.
"I've gotten a lot of 'the whole room is looking at us' lately. I think the population of this school might have some sort of mental disorder that makes them obnoxiously rude." She said a little louder than neccessary. Of course, at this many of the students looked away in what was either shame or embarressment. There were now much more discreet glances made by the students, she had the urge to flip them all the bird, but she heard that such things were frowned upon in the school setting.

Star glanced back at Raven and smiled sheepishly. "Forgive me, I have no such intention, I am just excited to see you!" she said again with another bone crushing hug. If it had been Robin, on the other hand, he definitely probably would have a broken rib or two, by complete accident of course. She hated to hurt her friends.
Starfire gasped when Raven said her true name. She started to laugh sheepishly, really hoping Seth didn't catch that, but if he did she was making up multiple stories that she could go with. The last thing any of the Titans needed was for one of their covers to be blown already. Oh goodness would Robin be cross, and she didn't want him angry, especially at Raven, or herself or any other Titan. Friends weren't meant to fight.
She turned to look at everyone who was indeed staring at them. she really seemed to be drawing everyone's attention to herself lately. She rubbed her arm, slightly awkward now as they stared. She didn't mean to, but then Raven spoke and they turned away besides the one partner she had. He seemed to be rather, very angry. she decided to sit there and smile as if she didn't see it as she stood by to let the two talk.

Seth didn't hear what Raven had called Starfire at all, he was too busy wondering if he was drooling or still babbling. Like a light switch though his brain clicked on at what Raven said about the class. "You can't really blame them, your both easily the cutest girls in school. Hard not to stare." Seth smiled and put his book down, feeling a bit more at ease.
"I wouldn't say talking about you, Kori just mentioned you liked horror." Now that he had met this friend Seth was a little confused, they really didn't seem the type of people that would hang out together, in fact they looked like they would avoid each other. Sort of the Cheerleader vs Outsider age old battle.
The teen was also taken aback at how mature Raven seemed to be, was like she was a lot older than she appeared or perhaps that was just a side effect of her commanding presence? Either way Seth was aware he was now staring and looking the girl over, really not the image he wanted to be giving off. With a mental sorry he shifted his attention back to Kori "You really like to hug don't you? So how long have you guys been friends?" Glancing back and forth he smiled "Unless thats some sort of personal thing then just ignore me, just making conversation and trying not to feel like the third wheel." Grinning which he hoped was more than enough proof he was joking Seth settled back in his seat and waited for the answers.

With her skin tone, blushing was a bad thing, at leats in her mind. Even the slightest tinge of a blush seemed obnoxious to her. It went from the bridge of her nose to her shoulders but she usually had her leotard on which tended to cover that up. Like this, however, she didn't have that so when she blushed it was most definitely noticeable. She never really thought herself of pretty, and it was flattering but it wasn't something she was used to. She was normally described as 'creepy' or something of that notion and people moved on. She chose not to comment on the compliment, because quite honestly whatever came out of her mouth would most likely be negative and slightly self loathing. She tended to disagree with his sentiment. She was not pretty like Starfire, or really any of the other Titans girls.
"I see." She said, not commenting more on the matter. She hadn't been expecting the alien girl to be talking behind her back, that was something not in the perky girl's nature. She had merely been curious.
"Umm it's been quite some time we have known eachother. About three years I think?" She said, just now realizing how long it had actually been. She knew the Titans were going to be long term, despite some of the older heroes' lack of belief in the solidity of their team. As it expanded, however, she was happily surprised to see it growing. It was her safe haven and she cherished it. Without it she probably wouldn't have friends, well they'd all probably be dead, or enslaved or something, because she would not have been able to defeat her father without having something she cared about to latch onto. She rolled her eyes at the other students. The boys were like wolves eyeing up their next prey.
Really, Starfire had a boyfriend and she was sure Robin was sure to stake out that claim before any of the boys were able to make any sort of advances on her, despite the archaic nature of the show of dominance, she had to admit in this case it was sort-of neccessary. Starfire was a little naive for her own good, and being as attractive as she quite honestly was they didn't need anything to happen to her. She could assume they were not interested in her, but for a possible scapegoat.

"That most certainly can not be true, other than Rachel~." She said gleefully with another hug, just not so tight seeing as how it was around her neck. She did think Raven was beautiful, in and out. You just had to delve past the evil inside, but she was a good person, after all, if she wasn't, she wouldn't be a Titan, now would she?
Star then let go and nodded her head, folding her hands in front of her happily, very pleased her friend was here and with another new friend. It was obvious as her eyes gleamed brightly, she felt like flying, but knew she couldn't. She forced herself to stay down.
Star nodded to both of his questions. She loved hugs, getting them, and giving them. she was a very friendly alien, or human in their eyes. She was surprised to notice that no one had asked about her eyes, and that she hasn't seen her green friend Beast Boy. She wondered how Cyborg was doing since he was half robot. He was probably having the most difficulty right next to Beast Boy out of all of them. She wondered if Robin had worn his mask. Probably not, seeing as how it may give him away. She looked to the side as she trailed off into thought.

"I have to agree with you Kori, you'd have to be blind not to see that simple fact" Seth smiled slightly, trying not to gush about the cute goth girl too much.
"Three years is quite long "Seth's sentance trailed off as the girl in front of him eyes started to light up "Um?" The teen looked at Raven to see if he was the only one seeing this. "Kori, your um" How did he tell the girl that her eyes were starting to look like torches? Also he didn't want to draw attention to it, after all the girl had been nothing but nice to him and giving bullies something to target wasn't his style at all.
The eyes had sort of made him start to realise that there was more about Star that he had just accepted earlier. She was orange but not in the fake tan way. Thing is nothing in his programmed personality was made to account for aliens or anything not human so he was struggling to find a reason or anything to make sense of this new issue. Perhaps it was just a genetic disorder? Could be one of those right? Now he could feel one of his headaches starting. "Uh excuse me a tick" Seth muttered as the pain began, the boy soon ruffling through his bag to get his medication and bottle of water. Tapping out two pills and popping them into his mouth , soon followed by a large swig of water Seth closed his eyes for a moment as the pain quickly passed "Sorry about that, I get bad migraines."

Raven never even flinched at the light in Starfire's eyes. To her, this was normal. She witnessed it almost every day so it didn't even faze her. It even took her a moment to figure out what the boy was having a spazz attack about. She cleared her throat and gave Starfire a discreet yet pointed look. First she slips up, then Star slips up. Yep, if Robin heard about this that would mean a very long, very annoying lecture. She liked the boy wonder well enough but when he started going on a tangeant she sometimes wanted to wrap his tongue around his throat and strangle him with it. She stopped her train of thought. 'That was darker than usual' she thought mildly to herself.
"I know the feeling." She said, referring to the boy's migraines. Hers were especially bad when her emotions were too out of hand, or when Beast Boy chose that day to be particularly annoying, or when life just decided to throw some excrutiating pain her way, and people wondered why her room was so dark. The darkness came in handy when one woke up with headaches every now and then with no way of knowing when they were coming. They had been coming far less frequently after the fall of Trigon, but she assumed that was from the lack of stress or guilt that had been constantly weighing on her before, rather than due to the actual defeat of the demon himself.
She did completely ignore his comments about Starfire's eyes, but she did give him and oddly confused look saying 'I don't really know what you are talking about'. She hoped that would be enough to get him to ignore it but some teenagers weren't that easy to drop a bone once they've latched their teeth onto it.

Star just continued to gaze off to the side, oblivious to her eyes gleaming a little too bright. She was so far off into her deep thoughts there was no way she realized. She had her communicator of course, but what if it went off during a lecture and she had it taken away? How would she know if there was trouble? she didn't have her uniform on, so it wouldn't blink.
Her attention was drawn back to reality when she heard Raven clear her throat as if annoyed or trying to tell Starfire something. Then it clicked to what she meant when Seth started to say something and assumed it was her eyes. She blinked for a brief moment, and her eyes were back to normal. She sheepishly rubbed her head. "Forgive me..." She said quietly, as if embarrassed.
Star yawned a bit and covered her mouth doing so. She went back to daydreaming as she continued to stand, head turned to the side. The sight of Raven made her think of the Titans, one in particular...

As the pill kicked in all the strange thoughts Seth was having trying to work out what was wrong with Starfire and her sudden gleaming eyes. In-fact due to the pills Seth couldn't see a thing wrong with the situation at all anymore. The pills reinforcing the programing. Blinking a little as though waking up Seth shook his head "Hmm nothing to be forgiven about? Unless I missed something?" Looking back and forth between Star and Raven the teen smiled, his eyes slightly dilated from the medication.
"We were talking about something, ah yeah you guys have known each other for three years" With his mind now working backward to find a point were there was no confusion it had picked a spot that was perfectly normal "Thats quite awhile. You both seem really close, kinda jealous. I just moved here. In fact I think your both the first people I've had a decent conversation with, outside my folks of course." Looking back and forth at the pair he smiled again, focusing his attention mainly on Raven as he spoke next "Maybe if I get really lucky we could meet up for coffee or something, outside of school hours I mean?"
With the medication now worked its magic he was back to feeling normal and all oddities safely locked away for his scientist carers to filter out at a later date and chances are Seth would remember none of it.

"So you're new here too huh?" She asked, mentally filing that bit of information. It seemed mighty convenient that as soon as the heroes started coming to school some kid not affiliated with them comes as well. She sighed, she was probably thinking too much into it. New students were a normal occurrence. People moved around all the time. She should not be so paranoid about these thing, but she was. She was not a very trusting person, and she was sure that, that was not about to change in the near future. She didn't mind. Often times, it kept her safe. Sure, it sometimes made her make a total ass out of herself but she thought it was better safe than sorry, right?
When the boy asked her out, sort of, Raven paused, not really knowing how to answer. If she wasn't suspicious before, now she definitely was. That was mostly because she got that way when anyone showed any semblance of interest in her. She could thank Malchior for that one.She decided it couldn't hurt, however. Well, it could, but it might give her a chance to figure him out if something negative was going on.
Maybe if she could conveniently schedule it while Robin and Starfire were out on one of their dates the other titans would never know the difference. She knew she could not schedule it any other time, without being bombarded with questions, and that was not an interrogation she wanted. Not to mention, if she scheduled it pretty much any other time Robin would probably ride her ass about missing training, or something equally mundane, and there was no need to cause unnecessary negative emotions to emanate throughout the house.
Then there was the next obvious problem. Starfire was right there. She didn't exactly need her knowing she was actually going to accept anyone's advances towards her. Next she knew she'd probably be in a mall with an overexcited Starfire wanting to harm something. Not to mention there was no way she wouldn't let that piece of information slip to Robin. Who would ask her about it, inadvertently informing Cyborg and Beast Boy of it. Azar knows she would never hear the end of that.
"We'll see." She said, it really meant we'll talk about it some other time, and she wasn't sure if he would get it, she hoped he did because she didn't want it to seem like she was shooting him down. Quite honestly the boy was attractive. Sure, she had thought about that about Aqualad when she first met him too, but even he didn't hold a candle to this boy. If he was genuinely interested in her of all people she wasn't about to let that chance sail by.

Star glanced at Raven when she mentioned him being ew. She was still half in her daydream world so wasn't entirely paying attention. She knew that tone though, she was suspicious of Seth. No, Seth was a good person, he was nice, at least to her and Raven. She didn't find him suspicious at all, he couldn't be a bad guy, he just couldn't be. Or she hoped.
Star may not be the brightest, but she had an invitation to a date when someone spoke of one. She gasped and giggled as she accidentally gave Raven a death hug. "You must accept!! Time out of your books shall be good for you! She gladly accepts!!" Star said with laughter. Typical of Star to accept something for Raven even without her approval. That was Starfire for you. Honestly she probably wouldn't have told the other Titans. It was more of a girl thing than rather anything.

Seth smirked a little, granted the offer had been to Rachel but he had hoped that it had come across as an offer to them both. Not too worry though it seemed to be ok though from Kori's reaction perhaps he had mistimed things. The unusual girl was accepting for the other, not really what was supposed to happen. "I like the we'll see, we should talk about it some other time. See what days suit and so on?" Seth hoped that gave the gothic teen a chance to shut Kori down, was odd seeing the girl hug everything every two minutes. Quite unlike anyone Seth had ever met.
Time to switch the focus he thought "I moved here a few weeks ago from Metropolis. My parents got a job out here and they figured that a quieter city would be better schooling for me. So we all up'd and moved. I think they figure a small city school will have more time for its pupils, though from this class I am starting to wonder that. So what do you two do in your spare time?"
Ask someone about hobbies, perfect way to stop them talking about anything unwanted. With luck the coffee thing would be moved to a later date discussion and Starfire would tell him all about her cheer leading, though is he was honest this was just another way of him finding out a little more about Rachel.

"Choking, not breathing." She gasped when Starfire pulled her into a hug, she was lucky she hadn't lost her balance at the sudden movement. She wasn't a complete klutz in these shoes but it wasn't like she wore them daily like some women. The hug was tight, and she just hoped none of her bones would be popped from the girl's hug.
"Kori you know it's not polite to accept things for other people without asking them." She said sternly. She loved the alien, really she did. Her habits sometimes got on her nerves. She had assumed the offer had been to her rather than Starfire, merely because of the emotions he was giving off. She wondered how Star had came to the same conclusion. Maybe she came to that conclusion because she was dating Robin, did the kid know that yet? She mentally shrugged.
"A quieter city?" She asked snorting. Sure Metropolis was huge, she knew that, but there were plenty of other quiet cities whose crime rates were less...insane. Moving to Jump from Metropolis was like moving from Metropolis to Gotham. Same insanity, just in a different brand.
"I think the teachers are just scrambling to accomodate the large influx of new students. Kori and I are not the only of our friends who are new here. A charter in the area was shut down and a lot of it's students got put here because it's one of the largest of the surrounding district's schools." She explained, at least she assumed that was the reason. It would strike her as odd if the professors were really just this disorganized and inattentive.
"I spend what little free time I have reading." She said, not sure if she should mention the meditation. Sure, it wasn't exactly abnormal for people to do, but not many high school students would spend their free time meditating.

Star's eyes popped open when Raven said she wasn't breathing. she quickly let go and stepped back a few steps with a sheepish giggle. She did kinda look to the side with a pouted face when he took Raven's acceptance instead of hers, since Raven's was only a 'we'll see'. She really did want Raven to have somebody, but she didn't seem interested into too many boys, even if they did like her.
She groaned silently and rested her temple on the goths' shoulder. "I know..." She mumbled to Raven. She wanted Raven happy though, even if her powers did go a bit haywire when she let her emotions out. Okay, a little bit was an understatement, but that doesn't mean she couldn't learn to control it. Anybody can learn almost anything if they tried. The green eyed girl would have said more, but she didn't want anything shared in the open without Raven's okay about it.
Starfire couldn't help but smile at Seth's comment. It really wasn't all that quiet, at least not for the Titans, and it usually had to involve the city. Perhaps Seth didn't know about that. Especially like the time that Star first came to Earth. It was very... Destructive.
Standing to the side and not really paying attention since she wasn't understanding what they were talking about, she glanced at her fuming and angry partners. she bit her lip slightly. She wished the bell would ring so she could get away from those kids, but then didn't because then Raven and Seth would lose their moment, or so it was a moment in the alien's eyes. She sighed silently and inhaled sharply. She'd definitely tough it up so their friendship could deepen. hopefully. Or so Starfire wished for.
The red-headed girl slightly turned her attention back to the two as she heard Raven mention reading. Of course, that was typical. She looked back to the side to still make it seem like she wasn't paying attention so she didn't interfere in the conversation, feeling like what they called the 'third-wheel' in a group.

"Its not quiet here?" Seth asked slightly confused "I've only been here a week so not had a chance to get out and about yet." If Seth had known he was lying with half the stuff he was saying then chances are the boy would be feeling bad right about now but since that was what he remembered that made it that truth.
"Reading huh?" Seth nodded softly watching Star shift her attention around the room. Had something been said to annoy her or perhaps she was unsubtly trying to give him and Rachel talking time? Seemed kinda rude of him though to exclude her from the conversation just because he was asking out her friend "What about you Kori, you didn't say what you did outside of school. No fun hobbies to share?"
Giving Rachel a quick glance and smile to make sure she didn't feel left out either and hopefully convey that he was trying to keep Star included as the other girl seemed to be acting oddly. Well odder than usual.
Taking another drink from his water bottle he pinched between his eyes, the headache was long gone now thankfully and his eyes had lost the dilation as well. "I'd love to hear how you guys met and became friends, you seem like polar opposites so it must be one heck of a story." Seth smiled again, he was genuinely interested in hearing about them both.
