Although her abilities aren't always very easy to control, Terra is a very powerful young women. She can manipulate the ground, rocks, and earth-type substances.
History:
Terra first encounters the Titans while being chased by a giant scorpion monster. She is depicted as an adventurous, free-spirited girl, yet she has great insecurities and doubts herself. After defeating the monster, she parts ways with the Titans, among whom Beast Boy immediately develops a crush on her. It is revealed that Terra and Beast Boy spend time together as friends after their first meeting, with Terra confiding to Beast Boy her problems controlling her powers. Beast Boy agrees to keep this a secret, though after an encounter with Slade, the villain recognizes Terra's problems utilizing her powers and offers to help teach her how to control them. Terra refuses, stating that Slade is an enemy of the Teen Titans, who are her friends. However, Slade would plant the seed of doubt regarding whether or not Beast Boy would keep his word, which comes to a head when Robin asks Terra to become a Teen Titan. Terra accepts, but then suspects that Beast Boy broke his promise to keep her secret from the group, unaware that Robin had merely figured it out on his own. Terra flees the Tower while being watched by Slade, for whom she ultimately agrees to work in exchange for his training on how to master her powers. After some time training under him, she returns to the Titans to take her place as the group's sixth member after helping stop Slade from attacking the Tower.
By this point, Beast Boy confesses to Terra that he is in love with her and the two go on their first official date together. While the two visit a theme park, Titans Tower is attacked by an army of Slade's robots. The Titans find out that the robots were able to enter the Tower because of Terra, who had supplied not only information on the Tower's defenses but also the weaknesses of the Titans. When Terra confesses to Beast Boy what she had done, Beast Boy rejects her, which only strengthens Slade's hold over her.
Terra then begins to serve as somewhat of Slade's personal counterpart to the Titans. After defeating the Titans one by one and attempting to murder her former friends by crushing them in an avalanche, Terra is given a new costume designed to "control" her powers. In truth, though, the suit is a fail-safe, designed to ensure Terra would never betray Slade, as it allows him to transform Terra into a remote controlled puppet in the event that she disobeys him. After successfully taking over the city, Terra begins to reminisce over the good times she once had with the Titans, and slowly begins to regret what she has done. When it becomes apparent that Terra has failed to kill the Titans, Slade turns abusive toward her. This causes Beast Boy (who had followed Terra to Slade's underground lair) to let go of his hate toward his former friend. Slade activated Terra's new costume, causing her to attack Beast Boy; it would have killed him had the rest of the Titans not arrived. As the final showdown ensued, Terra was able to overcome her costume and turned the full force of her powers onto Slade, engaging in an intense duel to stop him once and for all. Unfortunately, in doing so, she triggers a volcanic eruption that kills Slade and threatens to kill the Titans as well. In the end, Terra sacrifices herself to save her friends and the city by turning back the full force of the volcanic eruption. Her act of bravery comes at a horrific cost, effectively becoming one with her powers and being transformed into solid stone (or as Beast Boy put it, a statue). For her sacrifice to save her former friends and the city, the Titans place a plaque in front of her imprisoned form honoring her as a Titan. It reads: Terra, A Teen Titan, A True Friend.
However, in the final episode of the series, "Things Change," her demise is called into question. After seeing a girl who looks like her, but claiming not to be, and finding Terra's solid stone form missing from her final resting place, Beast Boy begins to question if Terra has really died. Although apparently unpowered, the new girl's physical resemblance is uncanny. The episode ends without providing a definitive answer as to whether Terra is dead or alive; however, while she and Beast Boy go out for pizza and Beast Boy continues to insist she is really Terra, her hand tenses into a fist, seemingly causing the ice cubes in her glass to clump together and the glass itself to shake, showing that she may possess some supernatural ability, as did the Terra from before, though what this ability could be (if anything) is not clear. When Beast Boy was confronted by one of Slade's robots, it conjectured that if the girl really is her, but she doesn't want to remember who she used to be.
(The next part has been added to fit with the plot.)
After some time goes on, Terra begins to be convinced to be who she really is. Her feelings become mixed with hatred for herself and worry when she realizes everything she did to the ones she likes to call her friends. The Titans, being the understand teenagers they are, invite her to live with them once again. Terra accepts, but she still doesn't feel as if they all trust her. Even worse, she doesn't feel like she even deserves to be there. With making sure she's earned the trust of the Titans back and now having to go to high school, Terra's new life is off to a struggling start.

Roleplay Sample:
Growing up in a small town called Bernice in Oklahoma, Robbie never really had the chance to do much. He mostly just hung around the parks all day with his few friends, coming up with their next plan to start a riot to try and bring mankind another step closer to a better world. Although, the conspiring didn't happen until he was at least fourteen. Up until then, Robbie only had one friend. Her name was Susan Nelson. She was the only person willing to run around pretending she was an animal with Robbie while other children were playing guns and Barbie's. They were defiantly two peas in a pod.
The real conspiring in the parks started to happen when Robbie hit his teenage years and made his other best friends, Alexander Williams, Quintin Butler, and Kelly Glitterstein. They were the only kids in the town that worried more about weather their was meat or not in their tacos then being the next rising stars. This was about the same age the Robbie began to realize that he was, in fact, falling in love with Susan. He was going to tell her one night when they were hanging out and watching movies together, but that was the same time that he got a phone call from his mother giving him horrible news.
The news consisted of the fact that his father and younger sister had died in a car crash, coming home from a party his sister was at. He left immediately after hearing that. It took him almost an entire year to get back to being himself. During that year, a lot of things had changed though. His mother turned into a crazy nut job, and Robbie was almost positive Susan was dating a guy off the school foot ball team. He guess what that she hadn't told him, because Quitin had probably told her about Robbie's feelings for her. That would mean she didn't feel the same, and she didn't want to hurt him. Either way, Susan was still a great friend who always let Robbie cry on her shoulder and never left him.
After time went on, Robbie's mother continued to get crazier. With that, Robbie decided that it wasn't going to be possible to live with his mother anymore. Although he didn't want to give up on her, he realized that he wouldn't be able to make her happy if she didn't put any effort in herself. He was beginning to think that she was choosing to stay depressed. Robbie's solution was putting in applications to different schools around the world.
Not long after putting in his applications, Robbie got an acceptance letter from a school that really caught his eye. It was an art academy in Paris. Although extremely far away, Robbie new that distance might be what he needed. This was his chance to get over all the pain between Susan and his mother. This was also a great chance to spread his message of peace in a whole new place.
