Get the Picture
Height:
She stands at 5 foot exact
Weight:
Around 115 pounds
Eyes:
Two large light blue orbs, adding to her overall “cute” look.
Hair:
Shoulder-length light brown hair covers her scalp with bangs that reach her eyes. Seeing as she’s stuck in time, her hair doesn’t actually grow. It, along with her height and weight, always remains the same. In fact, nothing about it changes. Every strand of hair is permanently fixed where it was on June 14, 1920. Freaky, huh?
Face The Facts
Family:
Zabby doesn’t actually remember her family. She still maintains hints of memories related to her life with them, but they’re all sans mommy and daddy. Being a kid at heart, she has a habit of focusing on good things. Not bad. Nonetheless:
Mommy-Diana Toad
Daddy-Cornelius Toad
No siblings.
Friends:
Her gang of kids
Race:
Human-American
Abilities:
Note: the following isn’t actually her power. They’re abilities brought-up by her sceptre. Therefore, without her sceptre, she actually doesn’t possess any of this. It’s also important to note that ‘having’ the scepter means ‘owning’ it. The criteria for ‘owning’ it is ‘knowing its whereabouts’. Therefore, it doesn’t actually have to be with her [which would have made fighting difficult]. As long as she knows exactly where it is, she’s the owner and thus possesses its powers. This also means that, if you were to steal it in a fight, you wouldn’t be its new owner until you get it out of her [or the previous owner’s] sight.
To put it simply, she has the power of “the past”. To go into more details:
Eternal Child- She can stop the physical growth of human beings bellow the age of thirteen. This means that nothing about her “victims” [if you want to call them that] would physically mature, but mentally? She has no control over that. Unfortunately enough, there is another large “but”: the kid has to want to remain a kid. Therefore, she can’t simply walk around with her sceptre, hindering the growth of every little boy and girl that she sees. She needs to recruit them, persuade them to join her little gang and then work her magic. Also, this means that, should the victim mature mentally and no longer want to linger in childhood, she is powerless to stop him/her. This is why she has her gang live in a remote area, secluded from anything “grown-up”, and constantly fills their heads-up with stories of the evil adults. This way, they are less likely to change their mind.
Also, yes, she uses this ability of hers on herself, permanently keeping herself at eleven.
Time freeze- She can freeze time, but there are a lot of complications to that:1.For the record, her ability doesn’t affect her. This means that, while everything else is frozen, she can move around and do whatever. Well, almost whatever.
2.Anything she holds/touches withstands this ability as well. For example, if she was to have a knife in hand and attempted to throw it, said knife would be able to be thrown instead of hovering in midair like what would have happened if the ability worked on it [that made any sense?]. This also means that any punches/kicks she tries on her opponents would result in them suddenly recovering from the time freeze.
3.She can’t harm anything during this time freeze. Time is frozen for them, meaning that they’re protected. For example, if the knife she threw in number 2 hit someone, that someone would not be injured in any way as a result.
Seeing as this power of hers is rarely effective in a fight, she mostly uses it to pull pranks/fool around with adults.
Slow motion- She can slow down time. For example, if her opponent throws a punch, she can make it easy for her to dodge. That being said, this required a whole lot of concentration [easily tiring her] and she needs to be quick to do it. If the punch came out of nowhere, chances are, she wouldn’t have enough time to slow down time anyways.
Master martial artist- Another thing she can thank her sceptre for. Somehow, it allows her to display techniques that would have otherwise taken her a while to learn.
History:
Zabby was born on January 14th, 1909 to a rich scientist and his last wife. Unfortunately for her, manners and education from an early age were of great importance to her family. As of age two, she had to leave her childhood behind. Instead of playing about with toys and friends, she was forced to learn a vast variety of instruments, paint, read, write and, of course, the proper etiquette of a wealthy family. To her parents, this was a necessity for success. Dolls, toys, games? They were a load of nonsense, a waste of time. To her, this was hell. From her bedroom window, she habitually watched others her age play around in mud, kicking soccer balls around and laughing. Her heart ached to join them and see what it would be like to be a kid, free of the stress and expectations of adulthood.
One day, at the age of five, she looked out her window and noticed a doll left forgotten on the streets. Quietly, she snuck out, snatched it and hid it underneath her bed. This doll, which she ended up naming ‘Mini’, was her first and last one. Whenever she was alone in her room, she would find time to play around with her, pretending like she could speak. It didn’t take long before Mini evolved into a friend and the one thing that still kept her childhood alive, if you could even call it a childhood.
The days grew into weeks, months and years. Eventually, Zabby Toad was ten, turning into eleven. Until then, she was expected to act like an adult. At the age of eleven, however, everything was to become much worse. Despite the fact that most people at the time, especially in the top social class, married for love, her parents were also a fan of arranged marriages at a young age. Yeah. The eleven year-old Zabby was expected to marry. But in her 11th birthday, a day which was supposed to be the worse in her life, something magical happened. Exactly at 12:00 am, she was awakened by the sudden weight of something colliding with her sleeping form. Opening her eyes, she concluded that it was a parcel. Apparently, it had tumbled in from the window, an incredibly bizarre occurrence on its own. Why? For one thing, the window was closed, yet unharmed. For another, she was pretty high up, making it hard for something to be thrown into her room like so.
It took a while for the sleepy Zabby to take all this in and even longer for her to open the parcel, curious to see what was inside. Guess what she discovered? The first thing that she saw was a golden scepter, somehow managing to glimmer despite the lack of lighting. The second was a card addressed to “Zabby Toad”. They knew her name? She hurriedly made to read it [maybe they had signed it also?] but all that was written on the card was “happy birthday”. She then shifted her attention back onto the scepter, held it in her hands and ran her fingers on its smooth surface. A bump. What? Yes, she had felt a bump. A closer inspection told her that said bump was a button. Wondering what it would do, she pressed it.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, was how Zabby Toad came to be. The button had unleashed the full power of the scepter, locking her in time. A few hours later, she had snuck out of her house along with the two things that ever mattered to her: Mini and her scepter. A few hours after that and the first kid was kidnapped.
Her goal is simple [though unrealistic]: create an army of kids and rid the world of adults and their wretchedness. She goes around the world, city to city, and recruits children into her little group at night. During the day? Fueled by her range, she, sometimes with the help of her gang, attacks random adults here and there in various ways. Sometimes, she innocently fools around with them, sometimes injures them and sometimes kills them. It really depends on what she feels like doing at the time. A child, she’s unpredictable. She doesn’t have a plan, only follows her instinct and emotions.
Currently, she resides in Jump.
