The Tower was quieter then usual as Terra stumbled out of bed. Walking with a noticeable slouch, Terra slowly made her way to her bedroom floor and fought with her legs to make it out of her room. Terra tried to be as quiet as she possibly could, but failed when she tripped over a random basketball lying in the hallway.
"Ow!" Terra exclaimed, not because it actually hurt, but because it was a natural reaction. She was a little more awake now.
Looking around to make sure no-one's door opened in fear that someone had broken in or something, Terra struggled with her tired legs to get back up.
When Terra got to her place of destination, the kitchen, she checked the only visible clock. It read three o'clock a.m. It wasn't like her to be up this early unless duty called, but she couldn't sleep. She'd just finished having the same nightmare she'd had every time she'd have a nightmare since she'd been accepted back into the Titan's Tower. Even though most wouldn't think her kind of nightmares would keep her from sleep, they did. They gave her a lonely feeling that she just couldn't manage to shake off. The same thing happened in every one with little to no variation. Terra would be laughing and playing video games on the couch, sitting in the middle of Cyborg and Beast Boy. Raven, Starfire, and Robin would be discussing something in the kitchen. Then, out of no where, Robin would walk into the living room and stand it front of the television where he'd tell her that after talking it over, they'd changed their minds. He'd tell her that she couldn't stay, because she wasn't trustworthy. She'd turn to Beast Boy and ask him if he'd known about it and he'd quietly shake his head. The head shake would be followed by a "Sorry, Terra..." and then she'd run off into the night, crying. Then, she'd wake up. It was becoming a routine.
Yawning again, Terra opened the fridge and pulled out a carton of eggs. She was willing to do everything she could to keep her mind off of her dream, even if that meant eating everything she could find until everyone else woke up.
Terra found a frying pan and put it on the stuff. When she turned on the stove, she went back to the fridge to get the butter before melting it in the pan and cracking two eggs in. Terra found a spatula and flipped them when they needed to be flipped. An hour before the rest of the Titans came out of their rooms, Terra decided she'd make them all a big breakfast seeing as she put them through so much trouble in the past. It wouldn't make up for it, but it would give her a little piece of mind to do stuff for them. It didn't really matter at the moment though, because that was a long way away. They wouldn't be up for hours.
A rumbling noise came from Terra's stomach. She couldn't believe she was actually hungry at a time like this. She was so focused on making the food to keep her mind off of her troubles, that she hadn't realized she'd actually wanted the food. Terra let out a sigh as she patiently waited for her eggs to finish cooking.
What a long day this was going to be...

Robin was always one of the first awake and moving about the tower first thing in the morning. He had Batman's training to thank for that, instead of sleeping both men had learned to power nap. Getting eight hours sleep in only a few hours, though unlike his mentor Robin indulged in a full night now and again. Especially now that he was living in the tower, before he had Bruce to talk to, cases to solve and lots of other busy work Bruce had him doing but here, well here was more relaxed. Not that the other Titans would think so but this was almost a holiday at times for the teenage boy.
Padding about as he went about his daily routine, something that was set in stone for him. Push ups, chin up, sit ups, stretches and more in a regimental routine devised to improve and condition the human body to stand up to everything Robin would ask of it. After his shower he made his way to the kitchen, never start a day on an empty stomach Alfred always said before putting down a large plater of food that Dick would happily eat and Bruce would pick at while reading over the night before police reports for anything they had missed. The tower was still quiet though that would change shortly, Garth singing in the shower and Vic either adding in at the chorus or shouting for the green youth to shush. Star flying about getting things ready and Raven moving about as quietly as possible. Robin suspected the purple haired girl didn't sleep that much either, instead using meditation. Though that was her own private affair he wasn't about to pry.
Fixing his hair as he entered the kitchen Robin blinked confused at Terra, he really hadn't expected her to be here before him. "Morning" the Titan leader smiled "Didn't expect anyone to be here, not sleep well?"
Switching on the mainframe screen so he could check the news reports and any messages he had been sent before turning his attention back to Terra "You know Terra I've been thinking "Robin paused as he made sure what he said next didn't come across wrongly "since you came back here you don't seem very happy, is something wrong?" Truth told Robin wasn't the best at this sort of talk but probably better than most of the other Titans when it came to handling things delicately.

As Robin entered the room, Terra’s expression turned into a startled one. Even though she’d been cooking for a while, it still wasn’t that late in the morning. She wondered if he was always up this early.
“Morning,” Terra responded, not exactly meeting his eyes. “I, uh, had a bad dream. But, it’s not really important. Just some random stuff.”
It wasn’t like Terra was lying or anything. After all, it was a bad dream, and even if it was important to her, it wasn’t like it would be important to anyone else. She didn’t want to bore Robin with the details or let him know exactly how she was feeling about being back at the Tower with the Titans. She pegged Robin as the type to keep more to himself, but she still didn’t want to take the chance of anyone else finding out how awful she’d been feeling about everything.
When Robin came to a sudden pause after saying that he’d been thinking about something, Terra could feel the color draining from her cheeks. A dozen thoughts hit her mind at once during Robin’s short moment of silence. Was this it? Was her dream actually becoming a reality? She hoped that she was still asleep or that she was just being overly paranoid about the whole situation.
It was a huge relief when the rest of Robin’s sentence came out. She felt a little less on edge and her mind slowed down it’s thinking pattern to normal pace again. He wondered if he was on edge at all, being in the same room, alone, with a potential traitor. She figured he’d already planned, and knew, how to easily take her out if she was to ever strike again. She wouldn’t, but she knew they were all ready for it anyways.
“No, everything’s good here,” Terra said with a big, unbelievable smile that screamed a lie.
Terra was anxious now. She had to change the subject some how. Then she remembered the food she’d been cooking all morning for the rest of the Titans’. She hadn’t finished as much as she hoped she would before any of the Titans’ woke up, but she’d gotten way more then enough done for now. She’d finished making about two dozen eggs, French toast, some waffles, regular toast, and some bacon. She’d meant to get working on the ham, knowing Beast Boy would probably devour most of the bacon-meat she‘d already finished[SARCASUM], but she hadn’t gotten that far yet. To-fu was after that.
“I haven’t finished yet, but you can help yourself to some breakfast,” Terra said, pointing to the large plates filled with food.

"You've cooked enough there took feed an army I think" Robin said with a grin as he looked over the various food stuffs the girl had cooked. It was clear that something was wrong with Terra not that he could blame her. Dying, coming back to life and trying to get back into a life you had messed up once really couldn't be easy for anyone. That didn't mean however that Dick was going to pry too much.
Moving across the room so that he could get a better look at the breakfast of potential kings Robin smiled at Terra "Don't looked so worried. Its clear something is bugging you, I recommend you talk to someone you trust about it. For your own sake as well as the teams." Robin's first priority was that the team functioned well which meant everyone on it had to be at their best. Morale had to be high, training had to be done and relaxing time had to be taken. Something Batman never understood but at times people just had to stop and chill out, once in awhile of course, not very often though.
"Doesn't need to be me of course, but if something is bothering you its probably best to get it out in the open than to keep it locked up where it can grow into something its not." Taking a seat Robin shrugged "though I'm hardly one to talk about opening up and sharing my thoughts."

Terra starred at one of the dirty, empty pans she'd left on the stove that she hadn't gotten around to cleaning yet. She was still planning to use it to cook some more. Maybe she'd be able to clear her conscious completely if she managed to keep up cooking for everyone every morning. Sleeping wasn't an option for her anyways at this point in life. Things might have been easier for her if she'd just stayed a rock.
"Thanks, Robin..." Terra thanked him for the advice about talking to someone in a quieter tone then usual.
Robin was right. She did need to pull it together. If she didn't, she was never going to be able to function right for the team. She'd just end up screwing everything up like always. It didn't help that since she'd come back, she was right back to square one with her powers. She was awful at controlling them once again. Although, she had been practicing. As long as a fight didn't last too long, she was fine. She didn't even know if any of the Titans knew she was having trouble controlling them again.
"Robin... I have a confession," she decided she'd have to tell someone eventually to avoid what happened last time when she just told Beast Boy. "My powers... I'm having trouble controlling them for long periods of time again, and I'm not sure why... I'm afraid I'm going to mess it up for the entire team."
Who was better to tell then the one the seemed to lead all of the Titans? This way, if he was going to kick her off the Titans, he'd have a reason other then thinking she'd betray them again. Terra put an egg on a plate for herself and took out a fork. She decided it was time to feed herself and take a break.

Was that what was bothering her? That her powers were back to how they used to be, it could be a possibility since Terra had been through so much. "Considering everything you've been through I wouldn't be that surprised if your powers were, excuse the pun but a bit rocky in terms of control. Is that what the bad dreams are about?"
Robin had no idea what it would be like to control a force like Terra did, being totally human and from his training he could get an idea but he preferred to focus on what he could do and not on what he couldn't. Terra had died and before that been through what Robin imagined would be a living hell in an attempt to deal with what she was and what she did to the others. Robin believed in giving people a chance if they strove to earn it. People like Terra and Jinx could reform and use their powers for Good. He was sure of it.
"Your powers are effected by your emotions right? Perhaps because your not sleeping and feeling off its revealing itself through that, just a guess but seems likely."

"That's some-what what the dreams are about..."
Terra figured a little white lie was alright in these circumstances. The dreams were actually more focused on that fact that she assumed the Titan's secretly didn't trust her. She'd rather keep away from the full truth though. She didn't want to seem pathetic by being what people are calling emo about the whole situation. If she started acting pathetic, they'd definitely kick her out for being a loser. Oh, how easy things would be if everyone would have just let her be a simple high school student...
Terra picked at her egg with her fork as she thought about what Robin was saying.
"Maybe I'll look into getting a prescription for sleeping pills then... They work, right? That way I'd be more rested and able to control my powers better. Sleep would take a lot of my stress and worries about getting kicked out of the Titan's aw-"
Terra paused, and the color drained from her cheeks. She hadn't meant to let that slip. No one was supposed to know that she was afraid to be kicked out. Now she was for sure going to seem pathetic.

Robin raised an eyebrow at the unintended confession and let it sit for a bit as he started to eat. That was a big thing and he had to be careful how he dealt with it, probably best that none of the others weren't around currently. Having Star, Vic or Garth shout out how she wasn't going to be kicked out and everything was fine really wasn't very reassuring in the long run.
"Terra" Robin started off slowly, letting his thoughts turn into words "I'm going to be honest with you. You did betray us, thats a fact but you also helped us take down Slade at the cost of your own life. If that doesn't tell us that you have a heroes heart then I'm not sure what else would. We all made mistakes, go too far at times." Red X sprung to mind immediately "I was worried after the Slade ordeal that no one would trust me again but they did. We trust you now, if we didn't then there would be no way you'd be sleeping here in the same building as us. If you need help, then any of the Titans would be there for you. I think theres a wide enough spread of us now that we cover pretty much everything. We're glad your back, more so that your back in the team. Unless you give me a reason to kick you off the team then your here to stay as far as I'm concerned."

Waiting for Robin to respond to her awful confession was killing her. She wished he'd eat faster. She felt almost as if she was about to sweat. She needed to say something else, but nothing else was coming out of her mouth. It was like she was a lifeless rock again except this time she could feel the panic emotion. She wished she could take back what she'd just told him. It was both a relief and a scare when Robin finally spoke.
A chill went down Terra's spine as Robin spoke the word betrayal. Even though she was guilty, it still hurt to hear it out loud. If this was the old Terra, she would have just picked up her backpack and ran out the door. She would have probably even started crying, and he'd never finish his speech to her. It was a good thing the new Terra was just a little stronger with a little more patience.
"I promise you'll never have a reason to kick me out now. I'll show everyone I'm even more Rock'n then before once I learn how to control my powers better."
A glimmer of hope hit Terra's blue eyes and she made a fist for the victory feeling she now had. She was going to make sure the Titans wouldn't regret taking her back now instead of moping around all the time. She was going to try to be the innocent girl Starfire and Best Boy were so eager to befriend in the beginning except with more common sense of right and wrong. It was almost as if Robin's words had given her an epiphany.

Robin nodded listening to her as he continued to eat "I'm sure you won't. Just have a bit more faith in yourself Terra and things will work out just fine. Everyone is glad your back and I'm sure they would be more than willing to help you with whatever you need." Well some probably more than others though Robin wasn't really sure how Garth was taking Terra being back. Out of everyone he was probably the most effected by her death and betrayal. Couldn't really blame him either if Star ever went evil Dick had no idea what he would do, or rather he knew what he'd do but also how much it would twist him up in the inside.
"You know BB's going to cry when he sees this much animal product right?" Robin smirked and pointed his fork at the bacon and other things "If your lucky Cy will be here first and eat most of it. Perhaps you should talk to Raven about the control thing, shes probably the best person to ask about getting things under control." Robin poured himself a drink and then sat back down "The foods really nice Terra, thanks."

Terra knew Robin was right. Faith was definitely what she needed to have in herself. It was the only way she was going to master her whole power situation, make sure she had the trust of the Titans' back, and find out if Beast Boy's feelings about her had changed or not. Faith might just be the thing she was missing. Putting together the pieces of her life again wasn't going to be easy, but she was going to do it. Whatever it took, she wouldn't stop.
"To-fu's next. I think it'll be okay," Terra said with a laugh. "On another thought... maybe I better skip cooking the ham I was going to make. Man, would Beast Boy be mad!"
Asking for help was a hard thing for Terra, and she definitely didn't feel comfortable asking Raven. Raven was always so quiet, so distant, and she kept to herself a lot. She had no idea what Raven was thinking. For all Terra knew, Raven was about ready to kick her butt out the door.
"I don't know... I don't think Raven would be too eager to help me. I don't think she likes me much..."

"I think if you didn't cook it, Vic and the others might cry more than Garth would. "Robin smiled a little, Terra looked a little better which was good and also slightly something unexpected, people tended to look confused or worse off when Robin spoke to them about stuff like that. Probably Batmans 'suck it up and move on' attitude but this was a good sign. Perhaps he was moving on from his influence after all. Robin liked that thought a lot, it meant he was becoming his own hero and not still living under the Bats shadow.
"Raven doesn't dislike you, shes just reserved" that was a good choice of words Robin thought "I think its just that shes not as loud as the others, I'm sure if you talk to her she'll have some thoughts on things you could try out. Worst that can happen is she says no." Well that was probably not true, worst that could happen was Raven flipped out and sucked the other girl into another dimension for the rest of her life but the chances of that were slim, well mostly nil. Almost completely zero.
"Is there anything else that you can think of trying, I've not got much experiance with controling powers but if you can think of anything I'll do my best to see it happens."

Terra let out a laugh that she didn't know she had in her. That settled it though, she was cooking the ham. Was Beast Boy more important to her? Yes. But, that didn't mean she was going to give up on trying to make sure that the rest of the Titan's liked her. She needed their approval too. Her smile faded quickly when the conversation went back to Raven. Even if the worst thing she could do was say no,-even though there's a lot worse-she still wasn't ready for rejection. It was hard enough to be talking to Robin about her powers and what-not. Talking to Raven was like her worst nightmare. Terra took a sigh when the next question came up.
"Well, I could just try to get myself in a better mood... If my emotions weren't so gloomy and crazy, my powers might be better responsive."

"Gloomy is never a good thing" Robin said after swallowing another mouthful "Why not take Star out to the Mall or something, maybe invite Garth along? If those two can't cheer you up then theres no hope" With a smile the teen poured himself some coffee and sat back down "Maybe buying something nice would help as well?"
Robin shrugged again "I'm not really the best to be asking about cheering someone up. I'd suggest solving a crime or putting in a few hours of training to help get the mind off of its problems but from what I can tell most people don't agree with me. I think your best to concentrate on the good things you have and stop worrying about the bad stuff so much. That sounds like something Star or BB would say right?" Smirking the boy took a drink and then some more food "Figure out what will make you happy and don't let anyone stop you" he added before going back to his food.
