Taking a kabob and doing the same as Star, sliding it all off onto his plate, Robin shook his head softly "I only have mustard on hot dogs, humans can't drink it like you can. Tends to make us vomit if we eat too much."
Eating some of the meat Dick sat in silence for a little while, just enjoying the moment for what it was and taking the time to actually eat something in peace without Cy or BB food fighting or yakking loudly "We should do this more" Dick thought out loud "Its nice to have quiet while we eat for a change. What do you think of these?" Lifting up some of the kabob on his fork to highlight what he was talking about before eating it. Last time he had eaten anything like this was when Alfred had cooked for him back at the Wayne manor. The food in this place was nice but nothing beat home cooked food, perhaps he'd take Star back there soon. He was sure Alfred would love the girl, and her him. Alfred was just too nice for anyone to dislike, in fact that was a brilliant idea. Before Star got to meet Bruce she would meet Alfred that way Dick would have back up against Bruce if it was needed.

Her green eyes disappear behind her eyelids briefly and looked down when they were again revealed. "I see.. That is, the shame.. It is quite good.." Star said with a light blush painting her cheeks as she looked to the side, taking in another piece of food. She honestly didn't know and know she felt, well, stupid. Maybe she belonged in school...
Star also sat in silence. Her shoulders were a bit tense now, feeling even more pressure than when the date first began. She swallowed without fully chewing and ended up in a painful coughing fit. Yeah, the alien ended up choking. She could devour tons of food at once and swallow it all without choking, but not a small un-chewed piece of food. Weird right? Once she was done and fine, she took a light sip of her mustard, face a bright fiery red from all the looks she was getting, and the little laughter she heard from some of the people. If it was possible she'd have steam rising from her face from how red and hot her face was. She didn't feel like eating so much anymore, but ate anyway.
Nodding her head that wasn't noticeable if you didn't know her well enough in agreement when he said they should do it more often. She just hoped it would get easier in time. She felt like such a screw-up right now. She wanted to hide like she did when she was 'transforming'. Her eyes glanced up to see what he was talking about before she slid it off herself and bit into it. "It is most good.." Star said silently, still embarrassed.

As Star started to cough Dick looked up in concern but it seemed to pass quickly "Are you alright?" The boy asked softly, the noise from other tables caused him to look around the room again. It had dawned on him that this wasn't them. Sitting in to eat food and trying to be fancy. They needed something more interesting going on. It was then Robin realized this was a terrible place to have a date. It didn't suit Kori's or his personality one bit. They had eaten together lots, granted never together alone much but that was because it was just eating.
They should have gone to a fair and got food there or maybe went straight to the cinema and bought hot dogs and other stuff inside the building. This however, sitting in a diner trying to force themselves into a mold of what people considered normal was just all wrong for them. If they were going to have a meal together like this it should have been somewhere special like on a rooftop or by a lake not in some generic fast food place.
Robin smiled slightly at Star "I'm really sorry Star, this place was a bad idea. Its not really us is it? This sort of thing is just our normal meal time minus the rest of the Titans. We should have gone to a fairground or somewhere interesting for us both. Instead we're sitting here" the boy motioned around the room to the rest of the people there. Families having an evening meal, kids from school having a night out and the other usual clients for that sort of place. "I'll make sure next time is better, I promise."

Starfire nodded when he asked if she was alright. She was, just really really really embarrassed. It was at this time in which she wished she had Raven's 'I don't care what you think' trait. She bit back a sigh. It wasn't the time to have Robin think even worse than he probably was, like she wasn't having fun or something. She was, there was just, pressure.
Star listened as Robin spoke. She blinked, and smiled brightly again at him as the red color drained from her face. She grabbed his hand. "It is a learning experience for us still. If you feel such a way then perhaps that is where we shall go next?" She asked, trying to do something. She smiled again. "Still, I am having the fun, much of it. You do not need to worry." She told him, trying to reassure him that it was alright, it was their first try, both of them. As far as she knew it was Robins first, she didn't know him for the first years of his life.
Star slid off the last piece of food on the stick before she grabbed the sandwich after she cut it in half and bit into it. If they were going to go and have a better date, might as well finish the food they had on their table now, huh? She wasn't going to rush it, after all it was good food in which she enjoyed. Of course if he still planned to go to the movies that was just fine, she didn't mind as long as he came with her.

"Its not that I'm not having fun, its more that this isn't something we would do. If you were going to pick a place for us to spend time together would it be a burger place?" Dick smiled "I guess I'd just rather we were doing things true to ourselves and not what the world says we should be doing. Like going to the movies sound good, that could be a lot more fun than sitting about pretending to be normal. Your an alien and I've not had a normal life since I was seven."
Leaning over toward Star Dick smiled softly "I have to admit I feel weird being out in the city without my mask and uniform. Even at school I feel strange not being in costume, not sure if thats a good or a bad thing though. Should we be like everyone else?" The boy wonder shrugged and looked to Kori for her answer "I think I'm just confused by the sudden change, it came out of nowhere and none of us were prepared for it."

Star looked up a bit in thought, then shook her head. He was right, they wouldn't have chosen this place as their first choice. There were many other places they would have thought of before this one. Yet she tilted her head at the last part of his statement. Questions filled her mind. Is that when his parents were killed? Did something else happen? she shook her head. It wasn't good to question things, not to mention it may be painful for him to speak about, and she hated it when Robin was speaking of something painful for him... She kept silent.
Blinking, she looked at him when he leaned over towards her. She listened as he spoke and giggled slightly. "It is the slight awkward, but you have a pretty shade of the eye color." She told him with a light shade of pink painting her cheeks. "I believe we should not.. I always try to act like myself without giving anything away.. I do not believe there is any reason for the change..." Star stated as she nodded along with his next statement. she then grabbed a kabob and placed the stick on his lips. "you should eat before I am the one to make it disappear." She then laughed lightly as she took another bite of the half of her sandwich.

"Pretty sure my eyes are normal" Dick said with a slight shy tone "Thank you though." It dawned on Robin that he didn't seem to get much in the way of female attention. Well except that mental basket case Kitten who no doubt once she heard about him dating Star properly would instigate a crazy scheme. For some reason Aqualad got a lot more attention, something the boy wonder would never admit to being jealous of but at times it was just nice to be swooned over. Hell Aqualad had made Raven blush, that was a massive feat on its own.
The stick against his lip snapped him out of his thoughts "I have been eating "the teen said pulling a chunk from the kabob with his teeth "Just don't eat as much as you and Vic. I know you have your reasons but the amount of food Cy consumes it has to be some sort of energy conversion. Either that of Cyborg is hollow on the inside." Leaning back again Dick smiled, this wasn't too bad really. Just really really unusual for him to spend so much time away from crime fighting or training but it would need to be something he became used to. If whatever this was with Star was going to work then he would need to make sure he spent time with her as well as his other duties.

Having nothing to his next comment, she just sat there and smiled at him. Even if he thought his eyes were normal, which they were, they were still pretty and she liked them. They were eyes she just wanted to gaze into for a very long time.. Because she was patient enough to do that. Which was what she was doing, actually. Smiling and looking into his pretty blue eyes. She didn't know what he was thinking about, his eyes were as mysterious as his personality was. It was something she liked about him.
Star giggled slightly. "Tamaranians have nine stomachs, that is why I am able to consume large quantities. As for him, I am not so sure.." She stated thoughtfully as she nibbled her sandwich. Well he was half robot, maybe that had something to do with it, like her being an alien had something to do with her own appetite. Or maybe he just really liked food? That was a reason for some people, right? She's seen them on TV. They were rather, large in the waist, but still, he was a robot! Maybe he was hollow, and maybe it did convert into energy for him to keep moving, along with his battery? She didn't know, Cyborg was also just a big mystery to the red-head.

Finishing off the food on his plate Robin nodded "I'm sure theres a still lots I don't know about your people but I look forward to learning. Maybe one day I'll be able to speak to you fluently in your own language, that would be pretty cool."
Taking a drink he stretched and smiled as he settled back down "I really think next time we go on a date we avoid sitting down in one place for too long unless its a movie and I'm sure that would be better at the tower with the sofa and some popcorn even if it does mean potential interruptions. Maybe we should look and see if any concerts are coming up we both like, would be good to see one without a villain being the reason for us being there."
Taking a drink from his glass Robin took out his wallet and counted the bills inside before removing some "Do you want anything else before we make our way to the cinema?"

Blinking, Star shrugged. Was there much about her culture he didn't know about? Well she remembered he certainly at one time did not know that she was royalty. He also then learned that royalty had arranged marriages and they actually don't meet the person until the wedding is official. Other than those and their table manors their wasn't all that much, but she was excited to hear it when Robin would be interested into learning her language. She smiled brightly. Too bad he didn't have the absorption of languages through lip contact like she could.
Star finished shortly after Robin did and was quite pleased as she finished her mustard, taking her straw out and sipping out the last little bits of mustard left inside of it. Tilting her head to look at him, she rested her head on his shoulder a bit. (I'm going to go ahead and assume their sitting next to each other) That sounds like fun.. We should give it the try." She really never went to a concert before besides the one a villain tried to pull off and he really wasn't any good...
Star lifted her head when he reached to grab something from his pocket and asked if she wanted anything more before leaving. She thought, but then shook her head. She couldn't think of anything she wanted at least. Taking a hold of her straw, she stood up and folded her hands in front of her, looking at him and waiting patiently.

"Then I guess we're done here" Dick said with a nod, motioning the waitress over he dealt with the bill quickly. Getting outside into the open was sounding pretty good. That had probably been the longest he had ever sat in one place and not dealt with anything to do with Hero'ing in his whole life. It was going to take awhile to get used to that it seemed.
Slipping from the booth Robin stretched and put his jacket back on "That was nice, shall we go see whats in the cinema or should we do something else instead?" Truth be told Dick wasn't sure he could sit down in one place for another couple of hours even if it was to watch a movie. If he was honest with himself he wanted to go patrol, it wasn't what he should do since he agreed that the time off and attempting to normalize their life just a little. If only to put the couple thing to the test, to take time to actually be something other than Robin for a change.
